About Tom Plaut, M.D.

Dr. Tom Plaut has been telling stories for decades. They capture the notable, the quirky and the outrageous in everyday life. In his first post, he writes about a mule that had rabies, children with worms and a boy with blue hands. Psychic healing, abortion, a newborn and a scrotum then receive attention. Later posts will include research in the jungle, foot races, working, publishing, plagiarism, politics and art stolen by the Nazis.

Plaut received a B.A in history from Yale, and an M.D. from Columbia. He specialized in pediatrics, then asthma for 50 years authoring many articles and four books on asthma. One Minute Asthma: What You Need to Know, the best-selling asthma book in the United States, is available in English and Spanish as an EBook.
